Mediaeval wagon

Make your night at the Ehrenburg one you’ll never forget and set up camp at the foot of the imposing castle walls! Sleep in comfort on a fur-covered bed to the call of owls and foxes. In our permanently installed mediaeval wagons with room for four people you can slumber like a mediaeval knight in the midst of the Hunsrück Forest – with the added modern luxury of a hot shower in the ‘historical’ privacy of our specially designed gate tower bathroom. On waking from a good night’s sleep to the sound of the dawn chorus a sumptuous repast awaits in the great hall. Enjoy a full buffet breakfast which far surpasses the usual hotel fare: coffee, tea and hot chocolate, freshly baked seed and wheat rolls and crusty mill bread are served. A platter of select meats for your bread – fine salamis, aromatic wild boar ham, country liver sausage and other delights – will tempt your palate alongside young and mature cheeses, various jams and our delicious scrambled eggs with herbs.   Accommodation is available in our mediaeval wagons from May to October.
